Ops, customer work, systems, and founder-side execution

Startup Operator

I built inside an early-stage startup from zero and learned fast across sales, onboarding, CRM, customer support, workflow automation, and founder-side execution.

Now I’m looking for roles where I can bring that same pace, range, and usefulness to another ambitious team.

About

I work best in early-stage teams where the role is not neatly defined and the work matters immediately.

Most of what I know has come from building inside a startup from zero. That meant doing whatever helped the company move forward: supporting sales, improving onboarding, managing CRM, solving customer issues, tightening internal processes, and building better systems for day-to-day execution.

My background is unusual in a useful way. I started in structural engineering, which trained me to think clearly and solve problems properly. Then startup life forced me to get practical fast.

I’m not a traditional software engineer. I’m an operator who uses tools like n8n, APIs, webhooks, and AI-assisted workflows to make teams more effective.

Experience

Co-founder

I’m the customer lead at Build My Story, handling sales, customer success, and much of the day-to-day operational work across the business. It has been my main crash course in startup life: working closely with customers, building processes as we go, and doing whatever is needed to keep things moving.

Structural Engineer

I worked as a structural engineer on live projects, which gave me a strong foundation in structured thinking, clear communication, and solving practical problems properly. It also taught me how to work carefully and logically under pressure, which I’ve carried with me into startup work.

Founder

I started Bakeless after realising how expensive protein bars had become, and how little room there was to customise them. With my mum being a nutritionist and me being into fitness, I began making my own, then turned the idea into a dry powder mix that let people make bars at home by adding a nut butter, a liquid, and a sweetener like honey.

Founder, Spire Design

My first proper business venture. On one side, you’d find me measuring every jumper by hand. On the other, you’d find me standing over a bathtub with ten bottles of bleach trying to fix a batch we ordered in the wrong colour.

Closing

I’m looking for early-stage roles where I can combine ops, customer work, systems thinking, and execution.

If you think I could be useful to your team, I’d love to talk.
